Community Sing Along

This All-inclusive, four week program for 12 elementary classrooms will improve, enhance and support your vocal and music program
Bring a This is Where I Live Community Sing-Along to your school. This is a great way to unify your student body and your teachers and build community in just a month. It quickly plants a structure for character and the arts, that is simple to use and very effective. A character building kit, This is Where I Live or Together We Can Do Great Things and the Professional Development are included for each class that participates.
We begin with a Professional Development for all teachers in your elementary school. It is designed to inspire and empower teachers to bring singing into daily classroom activities.
Instructional Artist Teachers work with classrooms for 3 consecutive weeks, providing instruction which requires active participation of all students. Incorporating visual, auditory and kinesthetic multiple learning modalities, helping students develop a sense of pitch, rhythm, song form, choreography, memorization and performance skills. The Language Arts are supported through text rich materials by providing lyric sheets and phrase by phrase singing. Students are given the opportunity to develop the gestures, actions and even sign language that complete the song enhancing the performance and the participation of all students.
The program culminates in a Sing-Along Concert with a live band and the entire student body participation. Each class that has received instruction will have the opportunity to lead the assembly in singing and introduce songs with relevant quotes.
All of our programs are effective and guaranteed to bring you what you need. We are an LAUSD ARTS Community Partnership Network member.

Testimontials:
We LOVE This is Where I Live, and we have adopted it as our School Song! We sing it school wide at all of our attendance assemblies, and for our annual talent show, we had a group of first graders who dressed up in different career costumes (fireman, ballerina, chef, astronaut, etc) and sang the song for the school, complete with the hand motions and other choreographed steps that their teachers taught them.
