Parenting Strategies
Parenting Strategies for Building Good Character
Our parent training is designed to encourage parents in character development and to boost their parenting skills. It will give them an entire tool box to help bring out the best in their children and themselves. It will teach parents how to bring excellence, respect, kindness, peacefulness, and integrity into every aspect of their family life.
This training will include weekly printed materials, interactive exercises interlaced with singing songs of character, and it will reinforce the 6 pillars of Character. Each session will last one hour.
This 5 week course will cover five strategies for life*
- Speaking the Language; to acknowledge excellence; to guide and educate; to correct mistaken behavior, and to build self-esteem.
- Recognizing Teachable Moments: using difficult situations as opportunities for learning valuable lessons; building resiliency and for strengthening character.
- Setting Clear Boundaries with Skill: while using good character and appropriate consequences you will be promoting self-discipline and integrity; creating a fence of safety where inside there is freedom; transform bullies into leaders.
- Honoring one another: to recognize, celebrate, and develop the highest potential in your children; to create family traditions that bring everyone together
- Walk a-long: a most effective method of listening and seeking truth, promoting positive communication skills and healing. Help your child make good decisions.
